Certificates of Management Systems of Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety, implemented in accordance with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OSHAS 18001 standards, respectively
These renovations reflect the consistency of BIAL’s Management Systems and the importance that each of these areas assume: Quality, as a strategic pillar of the company, the promotion of a healthy and safe work environment for all employees and environmental protection, translated into the recent signing of the “Business Ambition for 1.5ºC” agreement, an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, to which BIAL has been a signatory since 2004.
BIAL obtained the certification of the Quality Management System in 1998. In 2001, BIAL was the first pharmaceutical and healthcare company in Portugal to get the Certification of its Environmental Management System and, more recently, in 2010, obtained the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
